Especially Likely Sloth - Round the Corner fudge is made [Audio Savant - 2005]

Especially Likely Sloth Try to sound odd, quirky and off the wall. But sadly most of the time they sound annoyingly child like. Think of a young relative Messing around with presets on a keyboard. That said this compilation of older material is more promising then their full length put out a few years back.

A few stand out tracks; I’m going to pound Salt up your ass with its metal riffing, sprinkled rather effectively with voice samples and noise. Pity the track didn’t last longer than just under a minute, to develop some of the ideas a bit. Hammer smash face + poop with it’s grange band trashing and odd child like singing and lots of odd random grunts and noises, really does have a oddly manic air to it. The 1st Hotel (Wheelchair mix) with its eastern musical back ground and some rather neat voice samples taken from films about lemonade and other strange stuff, gives a nice bizarre edge.

So in sum up some interesting ideas, but the dodgy sounding keyboard presets. Just really grate on you nerves. And make it sound awful amateurish, but maybe that’s the point.
