Bonesfield - Prototipos Irradiantes [Sonora - 2008]Prototipos Irradiantes(Radiant prototypes) is a very energetic, body slamming and rewarding mix of noise matter, violent electronica and pumped up old school industrial tone. Often the album gives one the feeling of been stuck inside a vast gone crazy factory as the machinery goes in to spectacular overload. This is the second album by Spanish based one man project Bonesfield I’ve heard – the first being Gammacamera from 07(my review here). This takes on a more approachable less harsh noise base than Gammacamera, sure this has it’s caustic, brutal & overloaded edger’s but I can see normal non ‘noise’ ears really digging this too- as there are easly defined rhythmic and harmonic treads with-in the sound. The tracks are made up of often rapidly chopped up and sometimes rhythmic tones, which as mentioned early sound quite like machinery going into glorious overload and enjoyable malefaction. Or at times like manic noised up and grim cartoon music. He also lines the edges of the sounds with atmospheric and often almost harmonic touchers too. There’s also quite a nice hint of subtle & effective dialogue/ film samples littered through out the album that rather refence nuclear attack warnings. And the whole album mangers to keep up this manic yet enjoyable pace with each of the 6 tracks not lasting long beyond the four minute mark. A consistent, energetic and enjoyable crossbreed that’s noisy yet highly listenable- the only downside about the whole thing is it’s limited to a criminal low number of 40 copies- so I really advise acting quick and to get your hands one of these active & wonderful sonic grenades Roger Batty
