Pig Peasant - Untitled Pig Collection [Dyning Monolith HNW - 2026]Untitled Pig Collection brings together five slices of walled noise from this Old Town, Maine project, which themes all of its releases around pigs, boars, or hogs. Fittingly for a pig-themed project- the cover art takes in a picture of said animals- there’s one full-grown, and four smaller pigs standing on a rough batch of grass. The release can be found here.
Each of the tracks, named Untitled Pig I to V run between twelve and fifteen and a half minutes with a decent enough textural variation between each. We move from the muddy/ lose hack meets gritty grain swirl of “Untitled Pig I “. Onto the gunning splatter meets rolling muffled rush of “Untitled Pig III”.
There’s the dense rolling-yet-slightly uneven bass roll meets the steady searing roast of “Untitled Pig IV”. The album plays out with the muffled bass drone meets taut slurry churning textural grit of “Untitled Pig V”.
Checking out the projects band camp, it seems the Pig Peasant has been active since the summer of last year, to date putting out just over twenty releases. This is my first encounter with the project's work, and I must say I like what I heard, as there is some decent variation of types of ‘walls’ with many of them having a decidedly pig/ related environment-based vibe.
