The cover artwork and layout nicely pays tribute to the old 50’s exotica albums of Les Baxter, Martin Denny ect but instead of having scantily dressed raven haired temptresses or beautiful beach shots, Jared users an eerier night time shot of palm trees which fit perfectly with the albums grim pardise soured vibe. Through the 12 tracks here Jared builds up a very haunted, decaying and sometimes violent sonic world, Were drowsy and wavering vibes meet melting horn work, stuck organ melodic and woozy Hawaiian tone. And eerier and barren bell’s tone and noisy skeletally and rotting bamboo precession suddenly hammer you or hovering sinisterly around you. Topped off with the odd moan and groan added in good sonic displeasure.

This would be the ideal soundtrack for either the decaying hut of a tropically serial killer as he carries out his cutting and slicing. Or an alternative soundtrack to Fulci's Zombie Flesh Eaters; when the dead walk along overcast shorelines of tropic beaches ready to feed. Another highly rewarding and original chapter in Mr Jared’s work and the excellent Gigante Sound labels releshers.
