Carlos Giffoni - Arrogrance [No Fun Productions - 2007]

Arrogance may not be the most deepest or  most intelligent  noise on the block, but it sure does pack a weight of power, with it’s muscular unfolding static tones. Akin to been slowly cooked from the inside of your head out, as the banks of noise throb and grow.

Though  out this feels sleeky powerful and well oiled full of pain inducing intent. Like the slow grinding of chugging machinery, or the cities under noise heighten a 100 fold. This feels untouched by human hands- it feels like a series of crude recordings of machines working away under it’s own perpetual monition, or electronics misfiring and exploding. You really have to admire the bloody minded take no prisoner feel to it all, this is tough sound poundings that taste of burn gears, and feel of  electrocuted and twitching limbs.

It’s takes in five tracks of  seething static and bloody nose noise, all but the last track stretching the torture for 10 minutes a piece, each as nasty, grimy and uncompromising as the next. with a very vicious  mastering and I’m guessing some production by James Plotkin. It’s all made with seriously caustic droning analog synth overload, in a suitable airless and grey manner;  ideal to get you seriously tensed and wound up spring tight.

A nice example how to make uncompromising brutal and droning noise, which takes no prison or melodies and just keeps hitting until you lie a gibbering mess on the floor. To find out more and buy direct walking into to this fight ring & get ready for the pounding of your life.
