Nauzea Negra. - Walls Towards Nothingness [HNW Netlabel - 2026]Walls Towards Nothingness offers up six twenty-minute blocks of walled noise from this Mexico City project. All six tracks are fairly dense, unrelenting, and brutal examples of the genre, fitting the release's title. Cover art for this digital release on UK’s HNW Netlabel- is a monochrome/ high constant picture of a staircase/ passageway in some ancient temple. The release can be found here.
Each of the tracks hits dead on the twenty-minute mark with the simple title naming of Walls Towards Nothingness 01 to 06. So we start off with “01”, here we find a blend of dense/ rapidly punishing bass bound batter, which is topped with ice skating like static slice. It’s a nicely brutal and unforgiving start to proceedings.
As we move on, we have the gunning bass attack meets juddering searing static attack of “03”. There’s the beaded bass pelt meets hissing ‘n’ shunting jitter of “05”. With the album playing out with the sped-up bass gallop, rapidly jumping ‘n’ sparking static grain of “06”.
There isn’t a huge amount of difference between each of the six tracks, but Nauzea Negra adds in enough subtle variation/ shifting in the type of textures to keep you held in for the releases two hour runtime.
If you are after totally unforgiving & punishingly nihilistic HNW, then Walls Towards Nothingness will most certainly fit that need. Roger Batty
