Envenomist - Abyssal Seige [Pacrec - 2006]

Evenomist  finds David Reed (Luasa Raelon, etc) in a more deep droneing evil state of dark ambience, the creepy synth tones swelling and swirling together in Satisfying growing dread.

The density and layer of sound is less dense here than his work as Luasa Raelon, but that doesn’t make it any less rewarding. Each track really just consantrate on one unfolding horror ridden drone. There’s also a little more noise residue about it, just at the edges of the sound from: soft static rustles, to low guttural murmurs, or dark oceanic rubbles as the unnamble ones start to rise up from their deep water waiting places. On offer are four tracks in all, all lasting around the ten minute mark, so you really get chance to submerge your self in the grim black sea chilled melodies. On the last trackTitans the synth work almost takes on the feeling of doomy guitar strum or a ominous bell tolling- maybe announcing the end of our time on earth, as tentacles crawl, slither and ripple over humanities silent screams

A great collection of  lovecaften inspired droning dark ambience. Really of interest to anyone who enjoys dark ambience, horror cuddled drone or horror synth soundtrack work.
