When the Walls Talk: The Whispers Estate - When the Walls Talk( DVD) [Shami Media Group - 2019]

When The Walls Talk is a fifty-five-minute documentary that takes us into the (supposable) very haunted rooms and corridors of Whispers Estate, which is located in the small Indiana town of Mitchell. The film blends together interviews with the houses staff, visitors, and paranormal investigators- as well as creepy photos of spirit activity & investigation footage. It’s certainly one of the more densely packed supernatural docs- and for the most part lets you make up your own mind up about both the evidence and the believability of the interviewees. Here on Shami Media Group here’s a region one DVD of the film.

When the Walls Talk: The Whispers Estate Documentary (to give its full title) - is a 2017 documentary directed, filmed and produced by first time filmmaker JC Rositas- and I must say, aside from the pure amount of interviews/information thrown at you- he’s managed to do a competent job at telling the houses story/ history- as well, of course, the numerous claims of supernatural activity- which really does come  from a huge amount of different people.

The film begins by telling us a bit about the house's history, moving on to discuss it’s various residents who have lived in the house since it was built in 1894. Then we move through the house floors getting interviews, and some footage/photos of activity relating to each floor- and boy is there a lot to wade through here, because unlike many supernatural TV shows- the pace, focused, and detail of the different sightings/ experience is very substantiation. So that in its self makes this a multiple watch doc, as there really is some much to take in/consider.

As DVD goes this is very, very bare-bones- as all you get here is the film alone. It would have been nice to have maybe a directors commentary, or at least a stand-alone interview with Mr. Rositas finding out how/ why he first found out about the house, and why he decided to make the film.

In conclusion, I’d say When The Walls Talk is one of the better stand-alone supernatural documentaries I’ve seen- and even if you are decidedly cynical/ doubtful of the existences of ghosts, I think this doc will certainly give you food for thought.
