The Crude - Yellow Noise Wall [Gates Of Hypnos - 2026]Yellow Noise Wall severs up a shot of rapidly rumbling ‘n’ tumbling walled- with a thick meaty bass centre, and an addictively churning flow. The Crude is a relatively recent addition to the wall noise scene. The projects from İzmir, Türkiye. It has seemingly been active since December of last year, releasing five or so releases so far.
The single/self-titled track here rolls in at just under the nineteen-minute mark. The ‘wall’ is built around a knotting & tightly rumbling bass tone- around this, we have a taut rattle/ tumble and a tight, crusty jitter. The whole thing feels very urgent, pressing, and tightly woven. As I mentioned earlier, there is an addictive quality to the central bass tone- meaning I could have easily listened to this for well over an hour.
It’s always great to see new projects appearing on the scene, and as this is the second release I’ve enjoyed by this project, I very much look forward to hearing what they do next.
This is a digital-only release, which appears on Poland’s Gates Of Hypnos- just drop by here to check it out, and you might also want to check out the projects bandcamp too, which is just here. Roger Batty
