Go to the Cacoy website  Cacoy - Human is Music [Rumraket - 2006]

Cacoy’s Human is Music is a wonderful, lush and laid back mix of: glicty electronics, hip hop beats, tuneful child like air, jazz and pop. This is a reissue of the album from 2003- that was unavailable outside of their native Japan, until now.

The first track Funeral in March in March, recalls child like beat wonder of Aphex Twin’s Richard D James album, but with a jazzier tinged edge. Cacoy’s mood is a wonderful concoction of bitter sweet guitar picking and odd noises that pan wonderful from speaker to speaker.Through out there’s a keen ear with audio experimentation, but it’s done with such a wonderful airy touch.

Vocals appear on a few tracks, which add to the mellow edge: Mural of music tacks warm child-like vocals to a soaring pop song. That’s alive with clicks and bangs, sailed over the top by joyful saxophone playing.

Fans of Mum,Aphex Twin and other electronica licked by organic warmth, need to pick this up. Or anyone who is looking for inventive music, to chill out to.
