Go to the Dargaard website  Dargaard - The Dissolution of Eternity [Napalm Records - 2001]

Buy this CD now!
Not much has changed on the third Dargaard album after their fantastic debut "Eternity Rites" and the even better follow-up "In Nomine Aeternitatis". You get the usual slow electronic Dark Wave mixture with the great female vocals of Elisabeth Toriser. The atmosphere is very calm, dark and sometimes also sad.

Some small details have changed. The distorted extreme male vocals are used less than before and in some songs you can hear clean speaking by Tharen which is quite nice for a change though. There are a few more sound experiments on this album and Elisabeth is singing in a more diversified way than before.
She uses a quite meditative speaking voice on the track "A Path in the dust", which is the best song in my opinion, and she reminds me a bit of Enya sometimes.
It also seems that some songs are using a slightly more bombastic instrumentation than on the previous albums.
Sadly I don't have the lyrics here, as I just got the usual promo-CD so I can't say much about the lyrics but they seem to be in english and latin.

For everyone who liked Dargaard before, I can also recommend this album. It's typical Dargaard and you will for sure get what you expect.
Sometimes I think it might be nice for a change if there would be some kind of surprise. But if you want some more agressive electronic stuff from Dargaard you might want to check out their side-project Dominion3 which can be best described as apocalyptic version of Dargaard.

Anyway, this is a really good album and everyone who hasn't heard of Dargaard before should check them out now!
