The single track on offer here comes in at dead on the forty eight minute & forty eight seconds mark. The track starts off with a few minutes satanic based old horror movie sample scaping which take in looped female chants and several dramatic/slightly cheesy satanic mass samples. Then we drop into the ‘wall’ itself which is a fixed structure of mid-paced juddering ‘n’ grey noise drone, and buried under it this single night air like hiss or piecing drone element. Coker knits these two elements together into a grim, dark and slightly mysterious wall of sound which does conjure up in ones mind all manner of demonic shenanigans. On my first few plays the track did little for me, and it became a little tried by it’s end. But a few more plays down the line, and  I found it quite darkly hypnotic. Sure it still feels a little to long for it’s own good, but it does have some very effective dark edges and it’s an rewarding enough opening shot

So to sum up a promising first release from this new Louisiana based project. The ‘wall’ on offer here  is  a real grower in the best sense of the word... so if your into battering black & horror movie themed HNW this is well worth a look.
