Vomir - La Puissance De L'Erreur [Dot Dot Dot Music - 2011]"La Puissance De L'Erreur" is a 7inch vinyl release that offers up two sides of crusty, brutal and total unrelenting HNW from Vomir- the French king of unforgiving & unchangeable walled noise. The release come in a plain/ see-through plastic slip sleeve, and the vinyl it’s self is black with small brown flecks and splatters running through it- almost like the vinyl it's self is decaying from the depraved & crusty sounds with-in. Each side on vinyl is labelled, and what I take as side A(there’s no mention on the label of which is side A or B) features just the releases title on a grey textured back ground & the labels info. And on side B we have a picture of a apple, and half of it’s ridden with brown decay, which of course nicely complements the brown in the vinyl & Vomir’s crusty ear/ brain decaying sonics inside. Side A’s track is entitled “Part 1” and it finds Vomir attacking you with a rapid & crusty judder that’s underfed by a billowing & roasting drone. The track feels very urgent and raging in it’s attack, and it nicely pins you down with a moorish yet brutally controlled crusty attack Side B’s track is entitled “Part 2”, and this side offers up a fairly similar crusty and rapid judder as the first side, but there’s a less active and defined under drone beneath the main tone. The under drone has quite a nice muffled, worn & murky feel about it, and it slightly keeps going in & out of focus. On the whole the track feels a lot less urgent and more suffocating and unsettling compared to the first sides track- through it’s still damn nasty & unrelenting. So "La Puissance De L'Erreur" offers up two fairly short, sharp and brutally unforgiving slices of Vomir's walled noise. The 7 inch comes in edition of 300 copies, so if your after a copy there still should be some left- this is of interest to your HNW collector, but it's a nice introduction to Vomir’s brutal sonic entombments.
