Vomir - No Title [Void Seance - 2010]“No Title” is a short, sharpe but rewarding shot of crusty judder bound HNW from one of the most know and respected names in the worldwide wall scene French based Vomir. On offer here is a single twelve minute track on a normal 5inch sized cdr, though you might have expected a 3inch one(due to the tracks length), but I guess it would have messed up the discs artwork. The tracks ‘wall’ is of a juddering fast ‘n’ crusty variety, with Vomir unfolding a two tone attack with the top tone offering up a fast paced crusty juddering, and the second tone utilizing a slower, more muffled and hazed almost throbbing crust dwell. Like all the best HNW your mind often tricks you into thinking there’s more going on here, but in reality this is all very fixed, wonderfully unrelenting and ultra bleack. And really you could happily put this on loop for a hour or so, and not know when & where it started or stopped. The artwork, layout and look of the white digpak is bleakly fitting with a photo copied picture of weather worn & cracked painted wood surface on the front and back of the case this sits between two black borders that give the projects name on the front & this disc name in the second border, and on the back the track name & time, where it was recorded and the labels website in the second border. This is the first release from this new USA based HNW label & of course it’s very fitting that one of the modern masters of the form should be the lables first release. All in all short but very worthy release that has a nice bleak look & feel to it- I look forward to hearing what the label puts out next Roger Batty
