Toby Dammit - Ice Cream [Hie productions - 2008]

Ice Cream  is an unforgiving and caustic collection of  piercing and droning power electronics outpourings lined veined bulging and amped up vocal rants.

The eight tracks here are built around boiling, searing and teeth drilling drones and electro whips that smart the ears and deaden/ sour ones surroundings with a sleazed and yellowed tinged vibe. Bringing to mind twitching and violent sleep or fumbled bad breath intercourse on piss yellowed floors- this is sour sickly and depraved sonic fair. Yet Dammit does mange to line his eye pocking craft with atmosphere and ever so often sour and eyewatering harmonics trails. With the disk coming in a dvd like case with some pictures of people eating penis shaped ice cream topping off the sleazed air nicely.

Ice Cream boils and grinds your head, yet over repeated players it offers up atmospheric and sick harmonic folds.  Another effective, violent yet creative release from the relatively new Hie productions, but don’t think too long about it as these are only ltd to 50.
