Swedish Boarding School Girls(aka Sechs Schwedinnen im Pensionat, Six Swedish Girls in a Boarding School, Untamed Sex) is a  typical example of fairly plot thin 70’s soft core- with light comedic edges. Basically the titles tells you everything about the plot- we get a selection six of twenty-something women, playing students in a forest surrounded boarding school. We get a selection of fleshy encounters- often outside in the forests & sunny fields- there’s seemingly just two teachers in the school- the at first seeming stern blond female teacher, and a muscular bleach blond haired male PE master.

The films cast brings together names that will familiar to euro sleaze fans- we have the likes of  Brigitte Lahaie( Fascination, caged Women,  Faceless), Eric Falk( Blue Rita, Mad Foxes, Barbwire Dolls), France Lomay (Oasis Of Zombie, Secrets Of a French Maid,  Caged Women). The ‘plot’ as it is, finds the girls getting up each day- doing an outdoor fitness regime with the muscular PE master, as this goes on the teacher has it away at the side of the river with fisherman Falk. Along the way, we get plumbers locked in the school overnight, spying hunters, slow-motion nude running, and a selection of ‘dildo’ bikes.  The whole things very light, and extremely campy- though it’s not as funny as it could have been.

In 1980 Dietrich followed up the film with a semi-sequel Swedish Gas Pump Girls( also re-released on Fullmoon), and this seemed to inject a little more humour, silliness & story into proceedings- and was all the better for it. So really Swedish Boarding School Girls felt like a test run, with Dietrich perfecting  things a year later.  Its ok, as a slice of frivolous & bright euro- sleaze, it just has zero depth or repeat viewing quality really.

The new print looks good enough for a late 70’s film, and we get a fairly amusing English dub track- which at times sounds like it’s ripped from a British sex comedy. As with all of these euro-sleaze reissues on Fullmoon, this features no extras, aside from a trailer reel showing the other titles the labels put out in a similar vein.

Swedish Boarding School Girls is one of the lesser & substantial of Dietrich’s 70’s & 80’s films- it’s no way as pointless or dull as the Lina Romay fronted Rolls-Royce Baby, as there is some vague attempt at plot & few light laughs-  so passable fleshy fun. If you’re a fan of cheesy euro sleaze, you know you'll be picking this up.
