Fan Service is a HNW project that’s themed around the kinky & the more sexualized side of Anime/ Manga. “Part III” is specifically themed around Mannyu Hiken Cho- which is meant to be one of the most over-the-top larger female breast obsessed anime series ever made.

This fun, perverse, battering yet oddly soothing project is one of the more recent projects to appear from UK HNW maker & label runner James Killick, whose other walled noise/ ANW projects are: Love Katy, Small Hours, Carrie, The Monochrome Man( with Richard Ramirez) and  Blank Depths (with Pat Klassen of Winnipeg, Canada based HNW project Sleep).

This CDR release comes in a slim line DVD case which features on it’s outside two full colour pictures of huge breasted Anime figures, who I presume are from the Mannyu Hiken Cho series.  The single forty minute track on offer here starts off with a few minutes of samples from an anime cartoon, again I’m guessing Mannyu Hiken Cho, then the wall slow slides in over the sample until the sample fades out. The ‘wall’ on offer here is of the fixed & unmoving variety, and it’s built around a rather crusty rolling yet oddly cosy mid-paced textural rumble, this run under by: an distant yet constant musty billow drone, and an jittering mid-range loop.  The ‘wall’ is very moorish in  it’s feel, and it’s forty minute runtime seems to slip away much too quickly.

This is my first taster of the Fan Service project, and I must say I enjoyed both the ‘wall’ on offer here, and it’s kinky theme. Lets hope Mr  Killick decides to do another Fan Service release soon!
