Niezwyciężony - The Last Command [Zvukovina - 2011]Niezwyciężony is an intense & unrelenting walled noise meets machine drone collaboration between Italian based Fabrizio De Bon of HN/HNW project Fukte & runner of Toxic Industries label. And Sarajevo based Neven Misaljevich of chilling HNW project Smrznik, and one of the three minds behind the Zvukovina label. “The Last Command” is the project debut release, and it offers up two just under thity two minute slabs of very thick & totally unforgiving noise matter. Each of the two tracks here mix together hopeless, pressing and unmoving machine drones, with jittering 'n' juddering mainly locked yet detailed static texturing- these two elements are pressed into an intensely numbing yet oddly rewarding mass of impenetrable sound. Though both tracks use similar textures to build there structures, each tracks sounds different & offers up there own oppressive 'n' surrounding charms. The Opening track “Invincible Static Blackness” forces together bleak machine drone and detailed yet fixed static texturing into a fairly even battle. And the other track “The Last Command” rather buries a unrelenting road sweeper like drone under a bank of crisp yet seared static texturing- which seems to get more pressing and suffocating as the track goes on.
All told this is a rewarding yet extremely intense collabration between these two key figures in the European/ Baltic HNW scene. This debut release mangers to bring together both parties sonic identities and meld them into something very harrowing and hopeless, yet distinct and rewardingly encasing. This release is available in both CDR and cassette form. Roger Batty
