Static Mantra - Om Namah Shivaya [AnarchoFreaksProduction - 2010]

“Om Namah Shivaya”(which is a very powerful Hindu mantra) offers up a single nineteen minute track of fixed and highly hypnotic wall-making from this Hindu/Buddhist obsessed wall-maker from the Czech Republic.

I’ll have to say that the small amount I’ve heard from this project in the past had rather underwhelmed me, but this release is an excellent example of two pronged and highly hypnotic wall-making. The ‘wall’ is built around this fixed purring ‘n’ drilling tone, and this second smaller jittering static tone that unfolds in a persistent and unstoppable manner. The track has this great enclosing yet somehow expansive feel about it which I guess fits nicely into the projects obsession with Hinduism, Buddhism and meditative  states of mind.

The 3inc cdr comes in a mini cd box with a wrap around black and white photograph of a classic painting of the Hindu deity Shiva, which the Om Namah Shivaya mantra is in praise and worship of. So all in all it’s a very rewarding and entrancing slice of wall-making built perfectly for brutal spiritual enlightenment.
