Dead Body Collection - Néant Gris [Anarcho Freaks Production - 2010]The black and white picture of a decaying birds corpse on the cover of “Néant Gris”(means none grey in English)tells you this is not going to be a pleasant or pleasing experience. On the 3 inch mini cdr enclosed we find a single just under nineteen track of locked, crusty, muffled and death stinking HNW from the Serbian based Dead Body Collection(aka Dr Alex who’s also in the excellent Harsh Noise & HNW two piece C. T. D .) The track on offer is built around two or three taut & interlocking jittering static tones that are stretched-out in a repetitive, bleak and nasty manner over the tracks complete length. The pace is kept fast ‘n’ unforgiving through-out the tracks near on twenty mintues length, and there is no real movement or deviation from the looped and locked dense noise map of sound. Yet it mangers to suck you in and you become quite hypnotised with its disciplined yet sickly and brutal repetition. The package also futures inside a small fold out insert with a diagram of the skeleton of a bird, which adds an extra grim and death pungent edge to the track. So another very worthwhile yet grim and death hazed ‘wall’ from this great Serbian project. This is also the second release on the very promising new French label Anarcho Freaks Production.
