The forty five minute ‘wall’ that features on both sides of this tape starts out with a fuzzing and hissing static fog coming into view. By the minute mark a more droning and slightly bass throbbing rolling element has appeared in the ‘wall’ - which anchors and  centers the piece somewhat. By the three minute mark this rolling & throbbing element has become even more pronounced and drilling in it’s intent as static hazes swinging back and forth, with tight jitters storm over the top of it.  As the track goes on it has a nice rough, ready and boorish feeling about it as it judder, rolls and chugs along in quite a muffled, mid-paced and grim manner. The ‘wall’ remains thick, bleak and punishing through-out, through it does shift and contract slightly along it’s forty five minute path with shifts in the ‘wall’s layers like: judders,  muffled chugs and furnace roars- yet it never has any dramatic or major structural changers to speak of.

On the whole the ‘walls’ pleasingly sleazy and muffled enough, and it mangers to keep your attention through-out due to it’s swirling and churning feel. But sadly for me it rather lacks enough moorish or trance inducing textures to make me want to return to this often.  In summing up adequate and nasty enough HNW, but it lacks that extra edge to make it something special.
