Fecalove - Filth [L.White Records - 2008]Filth stands as one of the most effective, perverse and grimly atmospheric yet approachable to none noise-ears work by Italian noise sleazy master Fecalove; so far in his short but prolific career. It finds him mixing in moments of clear vocals, bent yet memorable industerlized electronic beats scapes and a seedy atmospheric edge to his mix of noise and power electronics. It also see’s his first none handmade packaging with a rather disturbing fold-out double side folder that holds the cd and is covered Nicola Vinciguerra(who is Fecalove) perverse drawings of dogs getting friendly with female genitals and severed limbs; as well as full list of the perverse lyrics. Filth goes from the brutal yet memorable rhythmic static and feed-back clutter of the first track Milano, to the droning and ill-at-ease electro slow sleaze pulse and almost depraved waltz feel of the track Blossom; with Vinciguerra powerful mumbling and moan over the top. To the stripped muffled and face banging drums and feed-back smarts of Status with Vinciguerra clear vocals proclaiming the wonders of his cock. And this track like most of the album has a very clever mixing and layering of his vocals and their modification as the track progresses in a wonderful deranged yet memorable manner. Really through-out Filth is a brutal yet creative work that’s memroble, sleazy and highly rewarding. The only downside about the whole thing is it’s ltd to a tiny 200 copies; which I guess is larger then many of Fecalove releasers- but Filth really deservers to be heard by more than 200 people. So act quick and check into here for samples and to buy direct from the label. Roger Batty
