M-SEIS - 02.06.25 [HNW Netlabel - 2025]

Here we have a release that severs up two twenty-two-minute examples of raggedly rolling walled noise. As this date-titled release suggests, there’s no theme here- just unrelenting wall-craft.

The release is a digital affair which appears HNW netlabel- with very simplistic cover art, featuring just ltd text and a box of line-rippled static. The release  can be found here

As far as I can gather the M-SEIS project has been active since 2023- it's one of the many projects of ultra-prolific London, Ontario based noise maker Jason Campbell ( Wallmaster, 4 Flies on Grey Velvet, 69 Passion, Graveyard Aura, I Am That I Am, Implicit Structure, Static 666, Ultimo Mondo Cannibale ). I’m not entirely sure how many releases this project has- as it has no listing on discogs, and if you look at Mr Campbell’s Bandcamp page he has simply hundreds & hundreds of releases on there.

Anyway as I mentioned early there is no theme here- just walls. The first track “I” brings together a set raging bass billow- this is topped with two or three lines of steadily rattling static grain. The ‘wall’ is set and fairly rapid in its attack- sure neither texture is mind-blowing original/ distinct, but as it plays you do get sucked in by brutal boring drone and the static tone play.

Next is “II” here we find a metal rod-like low-end roll- this is edged with smaller slightly rattling-grained noise. It all feels akin to the sound of constant pipe drilling. At points both elements seem to get more persistent/ ragged than the other- but I believe this is but a trick of the ‘wall’.

If you are on the lookout for simple HNW- with zero themes or a fancy concept- then 02.06.25 will be of interest
