It also offers a more conventional musically take on the projects weird ritual/ drone/ sound art music, making this an ideally entry point to the projects unequal and very odd musically world. On offer is one long track on a 3" cdr, clocking in near to 20 minutes in length. It starts with strange and sinister hospital machine like drone, which is soon joined by weird bony throat like rhythmic rattle sound that curls snake like in and out of the sinister drone. More sound elements are added like odd gong/ bell sounds type- which build into crashing/ distorted guitar hits and murky underworld feel. Before strange dialogue appears- that seems to be half way between creepy and poetic horrific/apocalyptic prose and surreal banter. The atmosphere seems to get thicker and denser, almost suffocating as the doomy guitar hits and streached out in rubbles of distortion get harsher, and more droning tones are mixed in, building up to quite a seething and noise finale, which once more drops in alien like ritual touches. Quite what it all means or is trying to say is difficult to fathom, but that makes it all the more enjoyable. It’s all top off with great weird artwork that mixes strange Egyptian type painting with weird semi-erotic and surrealist touches.
