Breathing In Dust servers up two thirty-minute examples of nasty, intense, and unforgiving HNW from Cincinnati, Ohio's Whore's Breath. The release appears on Milain-based Deepthroat Records as either a C60 cassette or a digital download- I am reviewing the former.

We open with the track “Discomfort”. Here we find a very tick & banteringly crude ‘wall’ which takes a tightly packed mixture of blow-out/ bothersome bass batters,  rapid jagged glass ‘n’  junk metal-like rattling’s, and a selection of cluttering sub-tone billows. This track rather brought to mind the work of Rough Sex Quartet- as there is a great feeling of overload/ total engulfment here….though I’m not getting any of RSQ's sleazy undertones- instead it’s just straight-on nasty brutality….feeling akin to being run into repeated by a train made of sheets of rusting junk & layers of broken glass.

The other track here is “Oncoming Asphyxiation”, and boy does this fit its title. We have rapid/ struggling for breathing-like billows- which are edged with a line of crisp jittering static. Once again this is a very intense/ full example of HNW- not as crude as the first track, as the elements are a little more defined/ separated- but when it kicks in, it almost rips your ears- so don’t play it too loud, as I’m sure this could do serious & lasting speaker/ hearing damage.
