Gentrifier Genocide is an just under hour & a half journey in battering ‘n’ baying walled noise from this Cincinnati, Ohio-based project. The digital release takes in three around the twenty-eight-minute ‘walls’ with each being as crudely weathered & unforgiving as the next.

Each of the tracks are Untitled- so the first ‘wall’ finds a setback circular churning tone, which is topped with a constant downpour of seething & searing static. I’m getting images of driving over a bridge in the middle of a torrential rainstorm- as the river brutally rushes by below.

The second track finds a ragged low-end rolling tone- topped with a selection of rattling, and battering tones. And once again I’m getting very road-based imagery- this time it’s something or someone being dragged along a rough potholed road. As the track progresses you get this spurting & spluttering sensation occurring within the ‘wall’, though quite how real this is I’m unsure. By the end of proceedings we’ve switched to a blend of bucking concrete hacks, and grainy/ crude static tone cascades.

Finally, the third track begins with a blend of taut pelting static & grain buck.  Before later moving onto a subtle industrial set mix of machine drone, and bucking-to-jumping static riding- with again very road-like imagery coming to mind, but this time what ever is been pulled along has been reduced to just ragged bone stumps. In its last few minutes, we get extra loud bursts of billowing rip added on top.
