RJ Myato - Itchy Blood [Enforced Existence - 2021]Itchy Blood is a four-track journey into dense ‘n’ slowly searing harsh noise matter. The tracks blend feasting ‘n’ scrubbing noise with shifting space-out yet drowsily mid to high-end oscillations. RJ Myato is a Pittsburgh-based project- it’s been active since 2009 releasing to date coming on for thirty releases. It’s dipped its sonic toe in a few noise genres, including walled and harsh noise- and while some of what we have here wonders towards wall-like noise in its thickness, there is a slow but constant sweep and grinding grit to the tracks featured here.
The CDR opens with “Session 2” this just shy of eleven-minute track brings together grating grit ‘n’ feast with swirling mids and highs. With the track having a feeling of both textural flow, and sour yet slow searing swirl. With track number three “Session 1” we find twenty minutes forty worth of constantly galloping static flow, mixed with stretching ‘n’ baying tone whine, fork, and swirl. The release is finished off “session 3” a just short of nine-minute track, which sees layers of juddering static feast meeting slowly searing ‘n’ slicing laser tip tone swoons and fan belt slipping drones.
Itchy Blood is a rewarding journey into dense and slowly searing harsh noise form- at present there are a few copies of the CDR left, to hear samples/ find out more drop by here Roger Batty
