Dosis Letalis - Mon Creation [Harsh Noise London - 2020]Mon Creation is a recent long-form slice of baying 'n' buffeting walled noise from Serbian wall maker Dosis Letalis. The release appears as a CDR and is part of a recent large batch of noise releases put out by Harsh Noise London. The plain shop brought CDR comes in a DVD case- this features on it’s outside bright & glitched up artwork taking in a picture of the iconic red British telephone box- which these days are decidedly rare around the UK. Inside the case, along with the CDR is a single & basic insert slip- this declares this is no 44 in the label's catalog, the tracks title, its length 1.00.02, and the projects band camp- this release was ltd to ten hand-numbered copies.
If you only have a passing interest in walled noise you’ll be aware of Dosis Letalis- this project has been active since 2015 putting out both dense & extremely wall matter, ANW, lower case walled noise, and more texturally interesting wall craft. I guess you’d say this release highlights the more meaty & intense side of the project's discography. It’s built around a thick weave of constantly juddering ‘n’ churning noise tones- we have a slight tunneling & droning low-end, mid-ranged buffeting ‘n’ battering tones, and a constantly descending map of thick and gnarled static judder. Together these elements create a decidedly battering & buffeting track, which at points it almost feels like it could suddenly break-down, sputter off, or pare back, yet it never does- and at moments there is an almost push & pull groove like quality to the layers of the wall, which certainly pulls you in & keeps you held
In finishing Mon Creation is a no-frills, slightly groove bound example of meaty and battering walled noise making- it won’t blow you away with it’s clever, creative, or intricate texturing- but if your after just over an hours worth of surround/ reality blocking wall craft this will most certainly hit the spot Roger Batty
