With 01 the duo  hellspawn D.R. and D.B. offers us a decidedly raw & grim mid-tempo black metal sound, which thrives mainly from its intense & occult atmosphere accompanied by the tortured, mangly and caustic vocal work, which clearly intensivites the dark mood of the recordings.  The whole thing has something very evil and malicious about it, which I really dug. This methodology   makes clear it's not for your  album for your average metal fan, as it’s black metal in its roughest, most emotional blacked form. 

For this almost 24-minute release the duo of hellspawn D.R. and D.B. created the ideal hermetic and anticosmic black metal sound that uses depersonalization and dehumanization to express the deepest and darkest feelings that can be generated in the human mind ...
The four track LP  begins with "III", which, after a dark, short static intro, immediately hits ones ears with the highest degree of agony and despair-with the depressive, nerving sound reaching unknown depths of pain. Hypnotic guitar sounds and a subliminal bass create a very dark mood, which is accompanied by D.R.'s sadistic-methodical voice that doesn't waste any time chasing & deepening the darkness .To the album  is topped off,  with  a cover track from D.R.'s solo project Atrabilis. The piece  is called "Parte Segunda", and really follows almost indentical sonic path to the other tracks...so go figure!, though I guess it keeps the mood/vibe set nicely

All in all, 01 is a very  grimly expressive release, and recommended to anyone who likes the depressive and raw Black Metal sound.  If you want to see the progressive in the Negativa projects sound, you should definitely listen to the albums 02 and 03 too.
