The unlabeled black shelled cassette comes in a zip lock bag- this takes in a glossy double-sided cover, which on its front takes in pictures of the sources used to create each wall- so The Rita side features a ballerina shoe, and the Gamiani side is a pair of tights. The covers finished off with a monochrome reverse taking in track details & pictures of ballerinas. The whole thing looks very much like a Signora Ward Records release- when the label focused in on fetish themed walled noise

So let's move onto the ‘walls’, and first up we have The Rita one- this is entitled “Semenyaka Toe Box”, and it slides in at spot on the ten-minute mark. As you’d expect from such an admired and skillful wall-maker as The Rita, the ‘wall’ here is excellent balanced, expertly layered, and defined. It’s built around a very tight weave of the following: chopping ‘n’ grinding low end, a constantly galloping mid,  juddering ‘n’ feast static haze, and this tiny more defined wiry worming type tone. Together these elements create an extremely entrancing example of dense, yet cleverly micro detailed ‘wall’ craft.

Moving onto the second side, and we have a just under ten-minute track from Stockholm based Gamiani - this is entitled “De Saint-Ange Thigh High”. Here the 'wall' is a little looser, smarting, yet still most compelling- we get a mixture of constantly descending rumbling and cluttering lows, spattering and occasionally hacking static smarts, and some slight waving drone currents right in the foreground. It’s the type of ‘wall’ that grabs initially with its spiteful grain, then keeps you locked in with it worthy detail- I really could have listený to this for a least half an hour plus.

So, in conclusion, it’s great to see with this split an obvious nod back to the whole fetish focused walled noise that was very popular a year or two back- with the releases focus on two fetishes focused sources, and of course the Signora Ward Records like packaging. But unlike  more than a  few of the bandwagon & less skillful release that appeared at that time, this split offers up two very skillful created examples of fetish focused wall matter- all told a great pity it sold out so quickly, but you do still, of course, still have the digital download.
