The Gentleman Losers - The Gentleman Losers [Buro - 2006]The Gentleman Losers debut mixes emotive and emotional guitar work with laid back electronics and hazy beats, making a very heart-warming and enjoyable album to chill out too.
Slow guitars brings to mind rolling desert landscapes, touched by cooling summer breeze, the slight country flavour guitar work, warmly sliding over the background beats, you just want the mellowness to never end, maybe bringing a more mellow version of the last Earth album, with slow head nodding beats added on. Laureline dwells in a wonderful country vibe, feed by bluesy rock guitar licks, really letting out some amazing instrumentation, which will have you smiling and taping your foot along to. Sliver mountain with its raising church organ like tones, and lush guitar work, brings to mind ,watching the slow ripple of water in a small stream. And behind you there’s a small church nestling at the foot of sweeping green mountains. And the air seems so clean and fresh. All in all an enchanting album, that I see myself return to again, and reliving its lush and relaxing tones
