Dead Body Collection - I Praise The Scars On Your Body [Noir Sur Noir - 2014]

I Praise The Scars On Your Body is a C30, which offers up two prime 'n' brutal slabs of walled noise from this highly prolific Serbian based project.  The release appears on Canadian Noir Sur Noir – a Harsh Noise, HNW, Power Electronics label, and the release comes in a great pro looking & grimly arty sleeve that features black in on black card packaging.

The release appeared early on this year in an edition of 75 copies. The cassette tape features a pro printed black on black shell, and this comes in a six panel pro printed black on black cassette sleeve that takes in a fitting textured ink pattern and track/ credit text details.

First up on side A we have the track “Your Pure Incorruptible Pain”. This ‘wall’ is built around three or so textures- we have: a muffled low-to-mid ranged battering rumble, a thinner rattling ‘n’ jittering mid-ranged noise texture, & sweeps of gritty ‘n’ grey static. More often than not DBC take on ‘walled-noise' focuses in on thick ‘n battering bass  licked ‘wall-making’, so this track is somewhat a departure from his normal fare with it’s searing & washed-out battering grey-ness…..but I must say it’s a nicely effective & urgent bit of HNW.

Side two track comes in the form of “Kill Anything That Walks”. And this track returns to the dense & raging bass bound ‘wall-making’ we’re used to, but just like the first track DBC pulls together a few different noise textures….first off we have: A spread out ‘n’ rumbling low-end, A jittering & juddering industrial tinged battering mesh, and sweeps of thinner  jittering static.  This track ok I guess, but I prefer the first track better…..due to it’s different textual make-up.

I Praise The Scars On Your Body is another intense & brain battering release from DBC- it's not his best or his worse, but sort of another fairly  average addition to this projects truly huge discography.
