Dead Body Collection - Laryngeal Carcinoma [Nagrania Brutalnie Domowy - 2010]

“Laryngeal Carcinoma” is brutal 'n' bass bludgeoning walled noise attack on the sonic sensors in the form of two cdr’s feature a near on eighty minute wall per cdr. This release appeared back in 2010, but has been one of the more difficult DBC release to source- hence it’s been reviewed a few years after its original release.

The release takes it's name from medical term for cancer of the larynx, and the whole release is themed around various cancers that effect the head, neck & throat.  The double DVD case features an extremely grim & bloody picture of a close-up of an cancer ridden larynx that has been removed from a dead patient- this is up there with some of the most stomach churning covers of DBC 60 plus releases.

Moving onto the seared ‘n’ battering sonics with-in & taking up the first cdr we have “Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma” which is named after a histologically benign but locally aggressive vascular tumor that grows in the back of the nasal cavity- the cancer is most commonly  found in  adolescent males. This track slides in at just a minute under the eighty minute mark & it finds DBC offering up a very fast ‘n’ searing wall of noise that’s a rapid mixture of juddering ‘n’ face grinding bass bound noise that’s drilled ‘n’ violated by jittering mid-tone noise texturing. This 'wall' really does rage, batter & pummel at ones head & ears in a most intense & truly unforgiving manner, yet  it mangers to have a very urgent yet appealing edge to it too that keeps one hooked right up until the ‘wall’s’ end. I guess you'd say this is fairly fixed walled noise, but there is the odd shift ‘n’ move with-in both of the main wall tonalities, yet the wall never really deviates from it’s main seared patterns.

Disc twos 'wall' is entitled “Esthesioneuroblastoma” and it takes it’s name from a rare form cancer that takes place in the  nasal cavity- this cancer can cause loss of vision, sight and even taste. This track comes in at spot on the seventy five minute mark, and it seems even more intense & brutal than the first track. The ‘walls’ built around speedy mixture of juddering & chopping mid-tone static repetition & bass chugs, these are  bent ‘n’ warp ever so often by brutal bass twist ‘n’ pulls. The 'wall' makes one feel like their head it’s literal been drag through some overloaded  machine that ever so often is stopping to drag out the pain in seconds long bass pulls. Again this is very urgent & unstoppable in it’s attack, though this ‘wall’ isn’t as effective over it whole length as it never really sucks you into it’s ‘wall’ it more just batters you again & again, and this becomes a bit to much around the halfway mark- never the less it’s damn brutal & intense stuff.

So “Laryngeal Carcinoma” presents the listener with two very brutal, active & bass lined slabs of lengthy walled noise. The first ‘walls’ great  and the seconds ok, but it does over stay it’s welcome at the 75 minute mark- really if you’re a DBC & dig his HNW when it’s at it’s most extreme then this is worth tracking down….it’s a little more difficult to find than his other release, but worth the effort if you enjoy brutalising your head & ears.
