The wonderful provocative titled Anal Drill is a S&M/ gay porn imagery linked Harsh noise project that has been on and off since 1995. The project used to consistent of Richard Ramirez, Ella Inspire(E.E.E., Hatchet For The Honeymoon and Watch Me When I Kill) Isabella K(ex An Innocent Young Throat-Cutter, High Heel Maniac and manplug)- but now it’s seemingly just a Ramirez solo project.

The one and only track on offer here is the intense, harrowing yet perversely moorish title track which comes in at just over the twenty two minute mark. The track opens with a wonderful urgent, taut and brutal drilling texture that’s weaved with a few off pattern static jitters and skips. I guess it sounds something like if an industrial sized vibrator at full speed was pressed into you ear(or another orifices)- so it very much fits the project name and track title. The track stays in this very intense and unforgiving drilling mode for the first ten minutes, and just when you think your head will shake apart with all the persistent drilling tonalities it shifts to a buzzing and vibration judder like feel, and the track become slightly less intense and pressing. By the 14th minute it’s become more sort of pounding and dragging junk metal like in it’s feel and attack, with a boiling and juddering extreme industrial  tone hovering over the top of the track. One more major shift happens in it’s last two minutes as the track boils up into a throbbing and static scraping wall of sound. All told the tracks a very effective, intense and perverse bit of noise making that mixers together elements of Harsh noise, HNW, extremely industrial texturing and persistent/ brutal junk metal abuse.

The front cover features a slightly Day-Glo filtered picture of the lower half of a man knelling down in just a posing poach and some work boots. And on the back cover we get a black and white picture of the back of a man pressing against a wall in just a leather studded cap and posing pouch/ jock strap on- all very sleazily fitting really.

So “Used to Getting Fucked” is another very worthwhile edition to this series, and if you enjoy Ramirez work when it’s perversely intense and mixing together Hash noise, extreme industrial and junk noise elements this is a must have item!.
