And I’ll have to say in general Abhorrent strain is a more consistent, shifting and rewarding proposition than the Thirteen Fingers material I’ve heard. All of the 8 tracks on offer here are shifting and textural vaired beasts that mix together low crashing ,roaring and building falling tone with higher shorting, piercing and teething gritting tone.  The tracks also mix in hints of chopping rhythmic and grim harmonics touches too, along with gurgled vocal elements and general feeling of tons of sound debris crash down on you again and again in a brutal yet invigorating manner.

So wasteland is shifting textural and sonically dynamic piece work of noise, which though misses enough distinctive edges to make it really stand out from the noise crowd is an enjoyable ear boiling and brain singeing ride.
