Inhalant - Audio Terror [Harsh Noise - 2008]Inhalant is one man noise project from Texas who with Audio Terror conjues up one long & rewarding 30 minute track of shifting textural noise, violent ambience and vocal bays/ screams. Through out it’s running time it takes you on a brutal and original otherworldly trip; falling down cannons of screwed up high pitchers, bombarded you with echoing deep tones, swimming with flesh perching sonic whales, rough up and sanded by primal and strange vocal yells, screams and bellows. It Managers to keep your attention through-out its sonic free fall where at times harmonic and rhythmic elements dart and hide amongst the noisy tones. I think the thing that makes this stand out most is when he filters down the sound a bit to stretch out lost drones and violent ambient tones over his pained and mournful screams- making a very eerier if still violent vibe. An impressive slice of shifting, textured & varied pained sonics with taillights of harmony and rhythm stretching here and there through it’s unfold. Another great releash from the always consistent Harsh noise lable. Roger Batty
