Warmer Milks - Let Your Freinds In [Release The Bats - 2008]

Let your friends in is a chaotic and  ragged mix of looped punk rock grooves, noise, buried and mess -up vocals, percussions layers, stretched and speed up dialogue and general audio tom-foolery and mayhem, think a slightly stoned & hazy american take on Shit and Shine.

On offer are only two 15 minute tracks that both mainly rely on stuck punked and crusty roll ‘n’ roll jams, heavy with layers of percussive, noise and guitar layered grooves- that really just nail again and again into your psyche. The first track is the noisier of the two starting out with seething yet clumsily and stoned noise movements before dropping into its looped groove. With the second track been more tripped out and clumsy with a stop and barely starting bassy rock groove and loads of effect peddle noise and psychodelic echoed vocals. With some nice sleazy and off centre blues guitar soloing here and there too. Both tracks making nicely mind-melting jagged grooved vibes that are always on the edge of falling apart

Satisfying and haphazard looped dirty, down’n’ out rock’n’roll grooves that ripple with creative lunacy and chaos, that at times barely keeps afloat and all better for it too. This is my first sip of Warm Milks wonky and fried charms, but I'm positive it won’t be my last- so come on drink the band and find the madness.
