The White Mice - EXcreaMaNTRaINTRaVEINaNUS [Blossoming Noise - 2007]The White Mice make barbaric, abused and terminal screwed-up rock music. The three piece throw at the unwary listener a mix bass, drums, oscillator ,overloaded vocals and the odd splattered dialogue samples- each track coming across like a massive and messy haemorrhage of noise rock. All three members of the group dress up in deranged and sinister home-made mouse heads and costumes like a less friendly and saleable slipknot, White Mice don’t want your money or loyalty they just want battered you again with their blunt, fucked-up and sleazy take on rock. There really is no let up here- only for the odd break for a brief sample then it’s back to pounding and ramming your head on their concrete sonic floor. The tracks through different don’t really have a discernable melodies or pleasing elements among them, the drums are clearly been played by a mad man as there all cymbals and lots of manic bashing, the bass rushers around with deranged bleeding finger runs or get on your knees and beg slamming punked grooves. As the oscillator singers like an eyeless psychopath with a flame throw and the vocals shout, mumble and vomit on top of all this mess. A sadistic, unforgiving and violent 40 minutes sonic rape of an album that repeatable vomits over you again and again. Rock music at sub zero- played by madmen who at times barely hold it together.    Roger Batty
