The tracks are built up from tinkling & ominous horror movie or emotional fraught  piano workouts, creepy thudding bass lines which are then studded with drum ‘n’ bass attacks or more edgy beatscaping. A few tracks show more hopeful and soothing vibe- but mainly the album focus on been edgy, darkly hypnotic and filmatic. Each track here is memorable and well contrasted with a real understanding  tension, atmosphere and dramatic musical shades. Sure it’s far from been original, using often clichéd textures and elements but Detritus does it all so well you can forgive such shortcomings and get sucked up in the drama of it all.
