Tetsuo/Brondie - Love For Debbie [At War with False Noise - 2007]This is a rather bizarre split 3” cdr, with one track from improvised noise cum- jazz drumming chaos from uk project Tetsuo. Follwed by three noisy and nearly falling apart Blondie Covers from Japanese Blondie tribute band Brondie. The first track is the Tetsuo track My Love for you is like a crawl!, which is a rather successful nine minutes mix of screeching vocal chaos, almost blast beat moments and some rather foot tapping jazz rum that appears here and there amongst the chaos of vocal and guitar overload. Also they very effectively overdub some dialogue from some violent Asian movie, to great brutal effect. The next few tracks by supposable Blondie tribute band Brondie are passable noise fun. Sounding very much like the original sent through all manner of peddles, fuzz, distortion and radio like feedback. Only the last track a cover of heart of Glass sounding like genuine shambloic cover band It all Sounds nicely lo-fi and chaotic and not very Japanese either. An enjoyable enough split manly worth picking up for the Tetsuo track- with the Brondie tracks as a novelty bonus. To find out more and buy direct drop in here. Roger Batty
