Café Carne is a recent six-track EP from Ibiza Shock Troops- a two-piece project that blends urgent and neck-snapping techno beats with harsh noise tones ‘n’ textures. There’s a good blend of snaping ‘n’ darting rhythm, sweeping sear, and subtle playfulness.

Ibiza Shock Troops have been active since 2018- bringing together Carl Kruger( 80's Horns, Baby Dad, Nipple Stools) and Roger H. Smith( Chefkirk,  Insects With Tits, Koff Kirk). Releasing to date six full-lengths, and six EP’s/ shorts.

Each of the tracks comes in at around the three-minute mark, and have just simple number titles.  We move from the galloping beats, searing pitch twitter, bouncing electro bass purr of “1”. Onto steady percussive hits, techno ambient harmonic key touches, noise tone phaser & sweeps of “3”.
We have crusty/ murky bass line hack, hacking high hats, and choppy electro-tone trance of “5”. With the EP playing out with “6” which finds bobbing snap ‘’n’ slash beat meets, subtle brooding harmonic undercurrent, noise tone glitter ‘n’ bay.

Café Carne is a decidedly snapping ‘n’ seared EP, which will appeal to those who like their noise with a beat-bound backbone.
