Fitting its BDSM title this two-track wall noise release is enclosing, thickly pressing, at points almost suffocating. It’s another release from super prolific California Koobaatoo Asparagus- with each track coming in at the thirty-minute mark- all making for an hour-long trip into dense & completely overwhelming wall matter.

The release is a self-released digital affair. Cover artwork-wise we have two figures dressed in skin leather or latex all over body suits- one in red pressing the other in black’s face against a table. The album can be located here. 

Both tracks here are untitled, and both hit dead on the thirty-minute mark. The first ‘wall’ is built around a central mixture of a hacking low & a  cluttering mid. Around these I’m sure I keep noticing smaller descending rips, cracks, and judders- but how real these are I’m unsure, and of course, the whole thing could just be the central tones and nothing else. There is one thing for certain this is a very dense & airless ‘wall’- which feels like it’s slowly but surely crushing your body with its pure sonic weight.

The second & final track is somewhat more buffeting & battering in its attack. It's centred around a rapidly droning low end and distance bay- feeling akin to trying to stand up in a wind tunnel that's set to max. Again we’re getting sub-tones in the form of occasional insect-like scapes.  And I’m almost positive they are here this time- as the whole ‘wall’ isn’t as compact/ dense- though it is still damn airless.

BDSM Noise Wall is another consistent/old-school example of the brutal wall noise form from  Koobaatoo Asparagus. Sure it’s not reinventing the wheel, but it’s sure to fill the need for encasing & airless noise.
