Motorpsycho have been working in the studio on the upcoming album, scheduled for a fall release. In between their shows they'll be doing a recording session for the well-known "In The Fishtank" series. The resulting tunes will be released on Konkurrent in Europe and Touch-And-Go in the US. Details: Motorpsycho have some of the Jaga Jazzist members with them in the studio as well as on stage at their festival appearances this august.

Monumentum and their new album "Ad Nauseam" have been moved over from Moonfog records to partner label Tatra records. "Ad Nauseam" is one step farther away from metal and metal associated music according to Moonfog, Monumentum's main audience should be in the avantgarde/electronica scene. A scene Tatra have been a part of for ages.

While there's been no official announcement from Skinny Puppy, founder Kevin Ogilve hinted at a possible reunion on his webpage on May 21. Writing to explain his reasons for pulling out of the Arvika festival in Sweden, booked under his post-puppy guise Oghr, he cited "studio time urgency related to the reformation of Skinny Puppy."

Monkey business: Gorillaz and Space Monkeyz have joined forces to create a dub version of Gorillaz' debut album. Space Monkeyz previously remixed Gorillaz' "Tomorrow Comes Today". The resulting product "Laika Come Home", will be out on June 24th on Astralwerks.

A brief portion of a previously unheard Nirvana song, "You Know You're Right," surfaced recently on several Nirvana websites and on file-sharing networks. The studio-quality snippet, about twelve seconds in length was to have been included on the Nirvana box set which surviving members Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl were preparing to celebrate Nevermind's tenth anniversary.. Sigur Rós are recording their third album with engineer Ken Thomas. The Icelandic act have nine songs in various stages of completion, including strings recorded with some of Sigur Rós' touring musicians. The still-untitled album will be completed in time for a September or October release.

A spokesman from System Of A Down denies rumours about the band spreading unreleased songs, which can now be downloaded through audiogalaxy and similar programs. The songs were recorded during the Toxicity sessions, and were said to be spread by singer Serj Tankian on cd-r after a couple of shows. The band wasn't planning to use any of them for the next album.

Technical and contractual difficulties has forced Season of Mist records to postpone the release of Yatterings "Genocide". Yattering recorded their 3rd album, but stole the mastertapes from the studio. They then recorded a low budget album called "III", a Techno album with Death Metal vocals.
