Metal Blade will release the first two Fates Warning CD's: Night On Brocken and The Spectre Within. These classic metal albums will feature 4 bonustracks (live & demo), different artwork (in the case of Night... the original, first version) and all the lyrics (why didn't Metal Blade do that the first round? Oh well...).

Drowning Pool-frontman Dave Williams has been found dead in the tourbus yesterday whilst touring the Ozzfest in the USA. There's no information about as to how the thirty years old singer died.

Massive Attack have signed a CND petition aimed at opposing the prospect of a new war in Iraq. In a previous posting on the band's official website he said he wants artists to come together and show their opposition to any British involvement in the prospective military campaign aimed at driving out Saddam Hussein.

Well, that's fast. Guns N' Roses did not actually cancel their Korean dates and they will be playing their forthcoming shows. A spokesperson for the band told: "The Korean dates never were never fully confirmed and an over eager promoter made the announcement that they were happening prematurely. I have just spoken to the band's management and Axl is currently on stage rehearsing for their show in Hong Kong."

Guns N’ Roses have cancelled their planned show in Korea on September 27. And reports suggest the band will also pull previously announced shows in Australia and Indonesia around the same time. The reason? Axl and co. want to concentrate on finishing new album Chinese Democracy, again.

Alamaailman Vasarat will concentrate on composing and arranging new material for the new album. The exact release date is not set, but it will be out around Christmas this year. Recordings start in the middle of September.

Chino Moreno's Team Sleep project will include a track with Mike Patton. The track is called Kool-Aid Party inspired by the 1978 Jonestown Massacre. There is a 30 second sample of the song in MP3 format at Caca Volante.

Prog-rockers Anekdoten are currently working on pre-productions for their fourth studio album. The release date is not yet scheduled, but recordings are planned to start any time soon.

Richard D. James and Warp Records are hard at work compiling a retrospective of Aphex Twin remixes slated for release sometime later this year, according to the Warp Records website. The compilation, which is presently untitled, will feature 30 hard to find, old, new and unreleased works on two discs or in a 4xLP box. The label hasn't yet announced a possible tracklist.

The new Motorpsycho album It's a Love Cult will be out on September 30. Additionally a 5-track EP, Serpentine, will be released before the album hits the shops. For the Bizzarre Festival (Germany) on August 17th: There is supposed to be a webcast of Motorpsycho's gig and also a chat. German TV channel WDR will broadcast the festival.
