Blur have almost completed their seventh album and hope to have it out in January 2003. However, you might hear it a lot sooner than that, as frontman Damon Albarn has hinted that the album might be leaked anonymously to radio after mixing is completed.
El-P, Mr. Lif, RJD2 launch North American tour. The noise peddlers at Def Jux are ready to take off on a massive fall tour. The tour is set to begin in mid-September, tagging 25 cities in a little over a month. Tourdates can be found here.
The new Porcupine Tree album "In Absentia" will be issued in North America on September 24th by Lava. Release dates for Europe and Japan are to be confirmed. The first 20,000 copies of the CD will come in a miniature gatefold vinyl-style cardboard sleeve.

The End Records announce the signing of Antimatter, for North America. They will be releasing their debut album, Saviour, on Sept. 24. Two acoustic bonus tracks will be included on the CD. The band is also working on their second release. According to Duncan Patterson: "We have the second album written and will progress with that over the coming months." The second album will probably see a USA release in the spring of 2003.

Kid606 and Dälek release split EP. A collaboration was just waiting to happen between good friends Kid606 and New Jersey hiphop three piece Dälek. The release was conceived when Dälek remixed the kid606 song Ruin It, Ruin Them, Ruin Yourself, Then Ruin Me, breathing new life into it and giving all the parts back to kid606 for him to remix, and back and forth until the EP was completed. Ruin It will be released on september 30 on Tigerbeat6. More info here.
Radiohead are set to return to the studio in September in Los Angeles after the remainder of their Spanish/Portugese tour, where had several new songs in their set. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood said to NME: "We're going to LA to record the new album. No, LA's not very Radiohead, but we recorded the last album in a cold northern Europe location because we thought it was us. It wasn't. So we'll try this."
Avantgarde Music is set to re-release the classic Ulver album Nattens Madrigal in september. The LP is currently unavailable since Century Media deleted it.
