I realise that many visitors of these sites and users of these services frequent this place, which is why I think it would be in order to put up a notice here. The server is currently offline; I have received an IP address but I need to be certain that it is permanent and that I am the sole owner of it before I can redirect DNS and thus establish a new connection. Neurosis are completing the recording of their collaboration with Jarboe (ex-Swans). The album will be released worldwide on Neurot Recordings in October.

According to Mike Patton, Mr Bungle is over: "I think it is over. The guys are spread all over the world and we don't talk to each other. I have not spoken to a couple of the guys since the last tour, years ago." More news about Fantômas, Peeping Tom and his other projects can be found in this great interview at Underdog Online.

Swedish prog-rockers Anekdoten just finished their new album Gravity. The album has been recorded in Studio Atlantis and their rehearsal studio and it's been mixed in Toytown and Atlantis by Simon Nordberg and Janne Hansson. The band has uploaded audiosamples of three of the eight songs on their site.

Future plans from the Future Sound Of London (FSOL) and their other project Amorphous Androgynous (AA) are first to release a new single called Divinity under the AA moniker. They are currently trying to conclude negotiations for a new deal that will include two albums. This will be a new AA album and firstly a new FSOL album. The plan is to make AA and FSOL two separate but ongoing entities in the near future.

The Forgotten Anthology CD from Bumblefoot is released. The album is a compilation of misplaced, lost and unreleased Bumblefoot songs from 1995 through 2002. All good enough to be released to the public. Get it for 10 dollars at Bumblefoot.com.

The new Amorphis album Far From The Sun will be released on 26 May in the following countries: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You can download two Real Audio tracks from the album on their site.

From Caca Volante: "Hiya, Trey (Spruance - NvR) just told me that the first installment, (Secret Chiefs 3 - NvR) Law Of Laws, will be released in February. I know that hurts, but it is going to be amazing! Danny is still recording when he visits, so not to fear, his 'meat and potatos' drumming will still be holding everything together, along with an amazing metal drummer from the band Cephalic Carnage, who is also appearing on Estradaphere's next album, Quadropus, due for release in November".

Eagles

The Eagles Of Death Metal, the new band featuring QOTSA frontman Josh Homme, have posted a full-length MP3 of the track I Only Want You here. The song comes from the upcoming album Peace, Love, and Death Metal, due in September through Rekords Rekords. Josh recently described the band as "stripper drum-beats, bluegrass slide guitar, bass, death metal and Canned Heat vocals.

Tricky's new album Vulnerable will be released in June. Hopefully he finally will release something worthwhile, because Blowback is still considered the anti-christ around here. This time no special guests on the album and among the 13 tracks two will be covers of XTC and The Cure.

The Gathering released their new single You Learn About It in the Netherlands recently. Other countries will follow. The 13 year old Tim Blok made a videoclip from the song. He is maybe the youngest director ever (and probably Anneke's kid neighbour or something).

Webzine All Hiphop reports that Ol' Dirty Bastard a.k.a. Big Baby Jesus a.k.a. Osirus a.k.a. Dirt McGirt has been released from a New York State Facility May 1st. At a pressconference he announced to record an album for Jay Z label Roc-A-Fella soon, to make up for the Trials And Tribulations Of Russell Jones album pieced together in his absence.

Dr. Dre hooked up with the famous song-composerBurt Bacharach, the guy who wrote more songs that you know than you probably aware of. The two have been sending recording to and fro for Dre's concept album Detox.

From Portishead's official website: "We have noticed that there is some confusion on an album release called "Alien". Please be aware that this is NOT a Portishead release. The band are in the studio working on new material now but no release dates are scheduled as yet."

Dismemberment Plan

The Dismemberment Plan announced dates for their farewell tour.

Sinéad O'Connor has announced her departure from the music scene in July on her website. After 22 years in the business, Sinéad no longer whishes to be seen as a "famous" person. A DVD including live show and a documentary released in July will end her career.

Green Carnation

Norwegian band Green Carnation announced the release of their new album, A Blessing in Disguise, set for a mid-june release both in Europe and North-America. Check out their new website for more informations.
