Anathema will release their new album October 20th. It seem they left the poppier path of A Fine Day To Exit as guitarist Daniel says on their site: 'You can expect a variety of songs and soundscapes on this one, from peaceful and ambient tones, to sonically massive great noises that we are barely able to control.'

There appears to be a project in the making featuring Buzz (Melvins), Mick Harris (ex-Napalm Death, Scorn, Lull, Quoit and many others), Shane Embury (Napalm Death) and Kevin Sharpe (ex-Brutal Truth).

The previous log about Depeche Mode seems to be slightly based on Blasphemous Rumours: Gahan has been saying things along these lines (DM being Gore's thing, feeling insignificant to DM) in various interviews, but there are no official signs of him leaving the band. So it's better to consider previous log as a rumour.
26 August 2003
Singer Dave Gahan left Depeche Mode. He stated that since Depeche Mode is Martin Gore's gig anyway since Gore writes all the material, he might as well leave. Both releases solo-albums recently, Gore Counterfeit 2 which were coversongs and Gahan released Paper Monsters featuring original material.

Since we already buit one, we suggest them to give us free passes, free drinks and groupies on each date. Pitchfork Media got it's first ever own office space. I would like to congratulate Ryan Schreiber and his crew with this achievement. It's great when a hobby site turns up some profit and actually grows big enough to make a living from it (I suppose that's what happened, offices ain't cheap these days!). MM could use some money as well by the way. Contact me where to send cash. I have my eye on a couple of upcoming albums I need to buy before the end of july. Thanks! :)

A guy named Jeremy tried to decipher the concept behind Book M, the masterpiece by Secret Chiefs 3, a fun read!

Check out my own personal weblog - Won't Get Fooled Again - about everything that's me and won't fit on Musique Machine. Mind you, it's in Dutch. It needs some tweaking here and there, but overall I'm statisfied with the looks.

Your favourite high-brow elitist avantgarde forum is online once again! Thanks to regular poster Goblin, the board will be located on his fast server until I get a new IP address, and the rest of the neovoid stuff as well, except the mail addresses, unfortunately. Got to the message board at once!

More neovoid news: I will hopefully get a new IP within 2-3 weeks. Yes, this is crap, but in the meanwhile, Jester board regular Goblin has taken it upon his shoulder to host the neovoid stuff and boards, and should be applauded soundly for this. We are setting up things right now - watch this spot for more news.

Download an amazing "a cappella" version of the Slayer song Angel Of Death, performed by the Japanese one-man project Dokaka. Also available for download is his equally entertaining rendition of Iron Maiden's The Trooper. And listen to more songs on his website and his mp3.com page.
Kayo Dot

As expected Maudlin Of The Well changed their name to Kayo Dot. The band feels that its previous name no longer represents its intentions or musical direction, and that a change is necessary. Tracking has been completed for their upcoming album on Tzadik. Mixing will begin this Friday, and is expected to be completed on June 27. Mastering will happen sometime in mid-July, at which time sound samples will be made available at this website.

I just finished an article about the brilliant action / music game REZ. Check it out here. It's something different, but I'm sure it fits MM.

More neovoid news: I hate my ISP so very, very much. Now it turns out that public IP addresses aren't implemented at all yet, and the cretins are unable to give me any kind of notion about when I will be able to receive my address other than "soon". With a time horizon of that type, alternatives are required. If anyone out there is able to host temporarily and would like to help this community out, please mail me. ASP is required and ASP.NET is a huge advantage, and at the very minimum a few hundred megabytes of space are needed. And no, I will not pay for server space to provide a service that I don't make any money on at all, however I don't mind giving the host some credit and links here and there for the duration of the hosting, naturally. So get in touch if you want to help.
