Australian act The Avalanches have signed on for eight dates of Moby's Area:2 tour in August. After that they are heading straight for Japan's Summer Sonic Festival. And The Avalanches signed to Elektra Records earlier this year for future releases. Check Pitchfork media for tourdates.

Along with the Kork agency Tigerbeat6 records are starting to organize a north-American (USA, Canada, Mexico) tour for november, featuring at least three of their acts. There are also four new releases out this month on Tigerbeat6. Go to their website to learn more about it.

Meshuggah have completed work on their new album, titled 'Nothing'. The band will go on tour at Ozzfest in the USA for two months, however if any of the new material will be played is still uncertain. According to Tomas (drums) there's just not been enough time to rehearse the new songs. 'Nothing' is set to feature nine songs, and should be available on August 20 in North American and Europe.

Gåte have started their second period of recording their debut album. The act finished their first period in Norway and are now recording in Sweden at Home studio in Jämtland. They will be finished in mid-July. The album will be produced by Alex Møklebust.

Two members of the Dillinger Escape Plan family were involved in a car accident, leaving Benjamin Weinman with a punctured eardrum and concussion along with some bumps and bruises. The good news is everyone is alive and you can expect in the next few days a glimpse of the "Irony Is a Dead Scene" EP on their site. To be released on august 27th on Epitaph Records.

The Gathering released their new EP "Black Light District" today. Psychonaut Records is working with 4Tune Shop, where you can order a copy directly by credit card or bank account. They will promote this new EP by playing on several festivals in August, and by making a club tour in The Netherlands and Belgium in October/November.

A new tribute to Faith No More entitled "Tribute Of The Year: Vol. 1" will see a release on July 23rd through Invisible Records. The disc will feature a variety of underground artists including Tub Ring, Imbue, Medulla Nocte and more. A second volume of the tribute is expected to see a release in October.

O1O1 is a new French label for electronic music. The label was born from the urge of a new and various electronic musical expression. The ground for O1O1 is to open the label to the best digital based production but also to extend his repertoire in order to blur basic definitions of this musical style.
