The story is probably known to you already. The first album of this German band was a success in their home country, but it lasted quite a while to get the rest of the world used to the harsh German lyrics.

This is one of the most diverse cd's I heard in quite a while. Meringue is a very talented Dutch band who mix different kinds of music to a succesful blend of rock, death metal, funk, electro, comedy, ska, pop and much more.

Scholomance is a band composed of Scott Crinklaw (guitar, piano, keyboards, percussion), Jimmy Pitts(vocals, piano, keyboards), Jerry Twyford (bass) and an unnamed drum machine. This is their second album on The End Records after 1998's "A Treatise on Love".

Anenzephalia is a cult name in the underground industrial scene, but its releases have always been extremely limited and thus hard to get for the regular industrial public. Lucky for them, Death Factory has now released a untitled live album of this band.

When looking for medieval gothic music, Italy is the place to look. After Ataraxia and Gothica, it doesn't come as a surprise that Nova is also from the country of spaghetti. But if the band live up to its name, we can expect something "new".

When you take things too seriously, you often miss the essential. I find it quite ironic that this band that doesn't take itself very seriously is probably the closest to the true metal spirit (whatever that is).

Following the success of Aphex Twin, abstract techno is becoming more and more popular. The Rosenheim based producer duo Funkstörung have settled in this musical corner too. "Vice Versa" is their latest effort, a compilation with remixes.

World's most successful and best known DJ, who more or less "invented" the current Ibiza club culture by visiting the island every year, has now released a double album containing remixes that perfectly fit the energetic Ibiza style.

Godflesh, the pioneers of the industrial metal music are back with their sixth full length album in roughly 12 years of innovation.

Lack of 'innovation', not enough 'songs', too much 'filler' material, this is what I've been reading lately in various media. This record seems to puzzle many a critic because it might not live up to their expectations.

One of the latest addition to The End Records' stable; A band that makes me wish I was insomniac. "What is so special about this band?" will you ask. They are good. Very good!

Bumblefoot is a band formed around the talented guitarist Ron Thal. 'Uncool' is the second album by this amazing band, and on this record they pretent to be a re-formed 70´s lounge act with hopes of making a big comeback in the new century. Besides Ron Thal we have Joe on drums and Frank on bass.

Click techno is a musical genre that has a bright future. And I'm pretty sure that in the future, Mikael Stavöstrand will be seen as one of the pioneers of it. "Delgenelralton" is his latest release, put out by the well known Dutch label Staalplaat.

As a long-time listener to both heavy metal and Turkish music I was very interested when I read about an İstanbul-based band combining the two traditions. The bands name was Pentagram.

Canadian Aaron Funk, the mastermind between Venetian Snares is a musician highly regarded by me. He is truly one of the most innovative and uncompromising artists in technoïd music. He has just released a new album called "Doll Doll Doll".

Something new from something old! It's surprising that in 16 years of existence Necrodeath have only released 4 albums. They are considered a cult band in their homeland, Italy, and for a good reason: they do this death-thrash thing very well!

Summoning is a band that you either love or hate. You find it very beautiful or extremely boring. But since reviews need to be objective, I'll look at the new album from both sides.

'Genesis.2' is the other half of the two singles released by VNV Nation to wet our appetites for their upcoming album 'Futureperfect'. Just like 'Genesis.1', it offers us the title track a few times; once more the single version and 2 different remixes than on 'Genesis.1'.

First off all, I think that reviewers should be honest when they are biased. So I will have to cough up the confession that I think VNV Nation is the best thing since the invention of sliced bread. Secondly, if you're not already familiar with VNV Nation or enjoy their work, please move along. Nothing to see here.

Alicia Keys is a fairly new name in the R&B scene, yet this young talent has had a lot of success. Her first single from the album "Fallin'" topped charts all over the world and her debut album "Songs In A Minor" already gained a triple platinum status in the U.S.

With expectations like zero, Sykes uses the opportunity to impress. The debut album "I Witness" is certainly not a disappointment, considering the fact that I'm unfamiliar with this artist, and I doubt it that I'm the only one...

A personal favourite of mine released a new album, this deserves some celebration! Some people say that "you don't criticize or review Cohen, you just talk about him". Lets see if after all these years the man with "the golden voice" is still at the top of his "tower of song".

Martijn's Secret Chiefs 3 'Second Grand Constitution And Bylaws: Hurqalya' review ended with "Finally we arrive at the land of the eighth clime: Hurqalya. In a gentle breeze we can rest in the "heavenly earth"... but wait... there's something in the distance..."

A new name on the experimental electronic music label (Kraak)³ is Ovil Bianca. After seeing this artist live at the excellent Earational Festival, most of my spare money was spend on releases from the Belgian label.
