Noiserockers Harvey Milk are back together to record an album and do a US tour with Khanate. The latter will release a 12"/MCD shortly and there's even talk about a new album later this year. In the meanwhile guitarist O'Malley has been busy recording Sunn0)))'s Black1 which will include Malefic's (Xasthur) vocals recorded from the casket.
Check this friends, Blabbermouth is reporting: Daniel Cardoso (ex-Sirius) and Kristoffer G. Rygg (Ulver, ex-Arcturus), plus a few "noble assistants", have been writing music and conspiring theories for Sindrome, a heavy rock project "with experimental edges, alternative feeling and a strong visual cinematic component", according to a press release. The group's debut album, A Killer View, is currently in its final recording stages and is expected to be debuted this fall. Label negotiations are already in process, but the band will wait for the end of the recording process to officially ink a record deal. According to the press release, A Killer View "explores and exposes mind distortion, insanity, perversion, dementia, the motivations and visions of a serial killer, and the patterns of the mind". A small trailer can already be seen and heard at the official website.
Tuvan rockers Yat Kha recorded some of their favourite songs like Motörhead's Orgasmatron and Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart for an album called Re-Covers, to be released in June. The two aforementioned tracks can be heard already at their site.
Drummer extraordinaire Terry Bozzio (Zappa, Vai, UK, Missing Persons, among others) will surely 'turn heads and excite people' when he'll take Dave Lombardo's seat in Fantômas on the upcoming tour. I presume Lombardo this time really had his hands full with the Slayer-festivaldates.

Håkon Gebhardt has left Motorpsycho. Hans Magnus 'Snah' Ryan and Bent Sæther intend on continuing with the band after the harmonious split with Håkon.

The official Depeche Mode website reports that the band will start recording a new album in early January under the guidance of producer Ben Hillier (Blur, Elbow, Echobelly). No tentative schedule announced so far. The Mode's last album, Exciter, was released in 2001.
The news from the natural disaster in Asia is bad enough, but apart from the astonishing amount of locals, among the tourists was Mieszko Talarczyk, member of Swedish grind-gods Nasum and producer. His girlfriend has survived but is badly injured and hospitalised, Mieszko is still missing.

Season of Mist are reporting that Norwegian black metallers Mayhem have parted ways with singer Maniac and replaced him with Attila Csihar (Tormentor, Aborym). Csihar had previously worked with the group on their 1993 release, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas.
Leaves are falling and another musician crossed over: Coil's John Balance died november 13th. Under the influence of alcohol he fell from the first floor landing, hitting his head on the floor some 15ft below. Balance was rushed to hospital, where his condition deteriorated, and he died soon after, without ever regaining consciousness.
Zweizz, the electronic project by former Fleurity and DHG member Svein Egil Hatlevik released a 7" in a pressing of 512 copies. These two tracks are available at Vendlus, it comes in two colours and the first 100 orders get a (surprise) bonus-CD.
